Hey there!

My name is Ricky Perla, being from California I have had many opportunities to attend local fighting game tournaments in my area and this is where my growth as a graphic designer began. I’ve taken up multiple projects working on graphics for these tournaments and the event organizers and I’s excitement for what I’ve created inspired me to pursue this field further especially in the video game industry and Esports. These designs thus led me to create more graphics for these tournaments specifically for streamers who hosted them and recorded them live from overlays, scene transitions, to designing the web brackets that audiences would use to see where there favorite players are placed and planned to compete against next. Going from designing just commercial graphics to more UI/UX centric design deliverables were a challenge but became worthwhile as overall turnout and excitement for said events increased garnering more attention and viewers than previously thought.

Outside of video game culture and graphic design, I enjoy fitness health, photography, and reading fantasy and sci-fi books. I truly enjoy being able to capture audiences through imagination and imagery and would love to work with a brand that wants to do the same.
